Simon Smith - Acoustic Soloist

Simon is a solo acoustic artist based in Penzance working at many venues across the county and beyond. A regular evening performer throughout the year, where his lively upbeat style has won many followers, Simon has broadened his set to include a selection of relaxed, soulful tunes, both covers and his own songs, to suit laid-back events such as lunchtime settings or afternoon coffee.

Simon’s set list includes classics from 60s legends such as The Beatles and The Kinks, journeying through the decades with Dire Straits, Oasis and Stereophonics, through to present day artists such as The Kooks, George Ezra and Ed Sheeran, plus a handful of his original songs which have become increasingly popular.

For those relaxed events, Simon sticks to guitar and vocals for a mellower experience. Lively settings bring along increased foot-operated percussion sounds, along with vocal harmony to provide a full, rich sound for a solo artist. Occasionally, when the setting is right, Simon will include a trumpet along with a looper pedal for a full sound and a tremendously vibrant performance.
